- Mechanical operations such as Side Shoot Removal, Detoping+Side Shoot Removal or Detoping exhibited significant improvement in Seed Germination, Seed Vigour and GOT % as compared to control.
- Recommended package of practices coupled with foliar application of Micronutrients+ KNO3 and KNO3 alone can be used to harvest high quality pure seed yield, seed quality with better seed recovery percentage.
- Refrigeration conditions are better alternatives than ambient conditions for medium term seed storage.
- Vacuum containers like, polythene bags (700-800 gauge); aluminium packets; modified gases (Argon, CO2) and Zeolite Beads are the best containers and environment for enhancing the shelf life of cotton seed for short to medium storage.
